SSC CPO Study Material

SSC CPO EXAM

Staff Selection Commission Central Police organization (Sub-Inspectors) Exam acronym as SSC CPO(S.I) is conducted by SSC on National level to fill the required number of candidates to the post of Sub Inspectors in various Central Government Police Organisations like CRPF, ITBP, CBI, SSB, CISF, BSF, etc. SSC CPO exam consists of Paper – 1 & paper-2. The detailed information about eligibility, syllabus, exam pattern is given below.

Eligibility of SSC CPO Exams

Nationality

Candidate must be a citizen of India

Educational Qualification

  • A candidate should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a renowned University.

Other Requirement

  • For the placement as Sub Inspector in Delhi Police (only) – Male candidates should hold a valid Driving License for LMV (Motor cycle and Car) as on the date set for Physical Endurance and Standard Tests. Otherwise, they will not be permitted to undertake Physical Endurance and Standard Tests.

Age Limit

Candidates age should be between 20 to 25 years. Age relaxation is provided for reserved category-

Physical Standard Test (PST)/ Physical Endurance Test (PET)

The second phase of SSC CPO Exam is the Physical Standard Test (PST) and the Physical Endurance Test (PET). One cannot score well in this exam, if the candidate is not physically and medically fit. So let’s look at the various aspects of the below physical tests:

Medical Standard (For all posts)

Eye Sight:
  • The minimum near vision should be N6 (better eye) and N9 (worse eye).
  • The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 (better eye) and 6/9 (worse eye).
  • In right handed person, the right eye is better eye and vice versa.
  • The standards should be without visual correction of any kind even by glasses.
Physical and Mental Health:
  • The candidate must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes.
  • They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
